IT Management Analysts and Consultants

Gary's career in the technology industry spans over 25 years in a variety of roles, including business development, consulting, management, marketing, research, sales, software implementation and user training. At EMA, Gary's focus is on how organizations can leverage best practices and technology solutions to support Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
Prior to joining EMA, Gary was a founding member and managing partner of IT research and advisory consulting firm Robert Frances Group (RFG). While at RFG, Gary drove the agenda that sparked the IT research industry's initial coverage of solutions to support regulatory compliance within the financial industry, an effort which began in November 1998. In addition, he was responsible for co-developing and managing an IT risk management and compliance roundtable for 7 of the top 10 banks in the United States. He was also a driving force in RFG's initiating the first IT advisory and research industry coverage for green computing within the data center, beginning in June 2005.
Preceding RFG, Gary was a top-performing account manager at META Group (acquired by Gartner Group), eventually moving to a service director role. In this role, he managed a research team focused on providing vertical-industry insights to users and vendors in the banking, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing and utilities industries. Assignments followed at Giga Information Group (acquired by Forrester) and IDC's Insights Group. Additionally, Gary spent six years working for IBM partners DAPREX and Ross Computer Systems in marketing, sales and user support roles.
Gary is a recognized thought leader in the Information Management space with an emphasis on the ECM solutions stack. Since 2008 he has been a frequent contributor to the Wikibon Project research community and is an active blogger on Parity Research, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networking sites. Throughout his career, he has been a passionate advocate for technology end-users seeking unbiased evaluations and leverage to lower costs, reduce risk and drive innovation. Gary also works closely with vendors and service providers on alignment and go-to-market strategies.
